does taking birth control pills stop post partum hair loss?
i have really bad post partum hair loss and i am going to start taking birth control this week. will it make my hair loss worse or better or stop it? does anyone have any experience with this?
Hormone related hair loss — you should remember — is temporary. Your hair will eventually come back in.
That being said, you might experience another change in hair thickness due to the start of the hormones again, since you’re changing your body’s chemistry.
Pregnancy is exceptionally hard on the body. But the good news is that it doesn’t do anything that is permanent.
has anyone used a really good hairloss treatment that really works that will see new hair growth?
The most powerful hair loss treatments are based on minoxidil (Rogaine, Regaine) and finasteride, but you can suffer side affects.
There are also herbal hair loss ranges like Nisim that definitely stop hair loss from progressing.
Like most people suffering from hair loss you will need to experiment with a few products and see which one works best for you…
Hair loss AFTER regrowth after chemotherapy?
My mother had breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy. All her hair fell out, but some time after the chemo ended, it grew back. It had reached a length of about an inch and a half, but now, her hair is starting to fall out yet again without any known cause. Right now, there are noticeable spots near her hairline, on both sides of her head, where the hair is falling out again. She doesn’t know why it might be happening, and her doctors all don’t know what to tell her, so they’re being of no use. It’s been about a year after her initial mastectomy (surgery), and about two months ago she had a very small, benign brain tumor removed. Does anybody know any possible causes for this new hair loss after it has already grown back?
Your mother has Alopecia areata, which may have nothing to do with her chemotherapy treatment for cancer. No one knows that for sure, but it could be hereditary . .or come from the emotional stress she suffered with the cancer. You can research this condition online:

Hi am iron deficient anemic & have suffered loads of hair loss. I wanted to take biotin tabs too. is this okay
I wanted to take biotin tabs with my iron ones because i heard biotin makes hair stronger. My hair has thinned out sooo much because i had hardly any iron. Also i was just wondering..i have few fine lines under my eyes..am only nineteen..how do reduce them
I am also iron deficient and had the same problem and my hair is waist length. My doctor suggested taking OTC prenatal vitamins because they have enough iron and aren’t prescription. I would check with your Dr. also but ask if it would be OK. The prenatals also help your skin glow and your nails nice and lond and strong!! When I was pregnant I took my prenatals AND an iron supplement. Now I just take the prenatals! GOOD LUCK!!
How much is the average total cost of a hair transplant including maintenance?
I want to know how much money to save for the procedure.
In the Midwest, it usually runs between $5-10,000 depending on how many grafts are needed. If you are completely bald except for the hair around your sides and back, you should expect to pay more than if you still have hair on top that’s just thin. You shouldn’t need any maintenance, other than haircuts. The hair that is transplanted is harvested from the back of your head, which is an area that isn’t genetically prone to balding. So, that means once it’s transplanted, it won’t fall out. Definitely do your research and go on several consultations so you can make sure you’re choosing the best surgeon.
By the way, a shaved head looks hot. Women don’t care near as much about hair as men think. Consider saving your money and going on a kick @ss vacation instead.
what are the best hair loss pills?
do you want to loose hair?
Need Hair Treatment suggestions for hairloss?
I’m asian and thin hair has been kind of running in my family as a trait. I am 15 and have been experiencing from what I think would be more than the normal hairloss. It’s happened since I was 14 if I can recall correctly. When I was 14 my hair was pure black, not dyed or anything and it was elbow length. A lot of strands fell off, but I didn’t know it was abnormal until my friend brushed her hair roughly and like, 1 strand fell off.
I have colored my hair about three times in the past year so far, but it has not increased my hairloss. I’ve done some browsing on the enternet & they say Aphrogee is recomended. I went to Sally’s Beauty Salon but there was a large selection of types of shampoo and conditioner for hair treatment & I don’t know which to choose.
So, does anyone know which Aphrogee shampoo [or others] I should use that would work effectively? And if so, what is the time period that I should be noticing less hairloss? Or is there anything else I can do?
Thx in advance
apply Olive oil on your scalp as it has Vitamin E and the required proteins which would help hair growth
Why does chemotherapy often cause hair loss?
Chemotherapy targets rapidly growing cells because that is what cancer cells do. So, other cells that are continually growing, such as hair, fingernails, etc. will also be affected. But, don’t worry.. it will grow back!
have anyone taken biotin for hair loss?
I started taking 5000mcg a day , about 3 months ago.In the last 2 weeks I’ve noticed less hair in my brush, and less going down the drain when I wash it.My nails aren’t as brittle anymore either.I’m going trough menopause and it seems to be helping with the hair loss and broken nails.
