PostHeaderIcon Does anyone know herbal hairloss treatment that works?

Nothing personal, but, speaking as a bald man, none of them work. Despite never trying anything to prevent or regrow my hair, I already knew that there isn’t any remedy of any type other than to do the following; accept that you are losing your hair and shave what remains off and go completely bald, as I do (although I also wear hats), invest A LOT of money in hairplug transplants, or get a wig or toupee’. Don’t waste your money on any so-called herbal remedies.

PostHeaderIcon Are cancer patients informed about some kinds of chemotherapy that may cause permanent hair loss?

elder_mo- You have never heard of the expression "To each his own" I see. I presume some people who are permanently bald would consider chemotherapy to be snake oil.

Cancer patients are uniformed about a lot of things. I am a vocal opponent of the pharmaceutical industry and all of western medicine and it’s establishments. I believe in natural medicine, homeopathy, and organic sustainable agriculture for a healthier body, society, and planet.

The cure for cancer has been around for a long time, and the corrupt pharmaceutical industry has spent trillions making sure that you never hear of it, or when you do, that you don’t believe it. Don’t believe them, they have a trillion dollar a year industry to protect, and there is no profit in natural healing that can not be patented. The American Cancer Society are the perpetrators of cancer, and here is the answer…

PostHeaderIcon Does Biotin really help with hair loss?

My sister has been losing her hair. I told her about Biotin, but does anyone know from personal experince if it works?
Thanks!

It can, if she has a biotin deficiency– it’s just a vitamin.
She might also be iron deficient or have a thyroid problem- both would need blood tests to check.

PostHeaderIcon How long does it take for hair loss to stop once re-starting birth control pills?

My Dr. recently diagnosed my hair thinning as loss of hormones following endometrial ablation. I have just started taking Necon 1/50 (birth control pills containing 1 mg of norenthidrone and 50 mcg of mestranol). I was curious as to approximately what the time line is for when I will stop seeing so much hair falling out.
I have regrowth. I also started using women’s Rogaine and
taking hair, skin and nail vitamins for about 2 weeks now.
The hair loss has been going on for approximately 2 months. I am 40 years old.

It might be due to hormonal levels in your system, but sometimes hair loss is due to stress. Try giving it a month, if you see no changes try a product called Nioxin. It has several different levels, and they all work better than Rogain. I provided you a link to their web site – my hair dresser recommend this for me when I was under stress, as the Dr’s. were not able to give me concrete answers. My nephew is now currently using the product as well, with great results after about 30 days.

Best of luck to you.

PostHeaderIcon Is hair loss common in respect of Chemotherapy patients?

If the answer is yes, is there any possibility of growth of hair, post -treatment.

Many, but not all, chemotherapy regimes cause hair loss. Some just cause hair thinning and some don’t cause hair loss at all. A patient’s oncologist will tell them if hair loss is a likely or inevitable result of their particular treatment.

Hair often begins its regrowth before chemotherapy ends. It’s usually soft and fluffy like baby hair initially but it soon grows back.

PostHeaderIcon What is the daily dosage of Biotin you should take for hair loss?

maximum 6000mg per day!

anyway as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.
the things that really worked for me was:

1) Vitamin A – an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The ‘B’ vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also he used herbal treatment – TrichoZed or/and Provilluss (do not use Rogaine – it will not work!)
Those are a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here

http://www.trichozed.info/ingredients.php

and here

http://www.provillus.com/?aid=221781

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) – a major cause of hair loss!

good luck!

PostHeaderIcon what is the cost of hair transplant?

I know that prices vary depending on the doctor and situation. I just want to get a rough estimate. My hairline is starting to recede, but my crown and surrounding area is fine. So i’m assuming that I have a pretty good supply of donor hairs needed for a transplant to the hairline. How much will this cost? Has anyone does this surgery before? and if so, how was your experience and final bill?

In west ky it is $5 a plug with a minimum of 400 plugs per session.

hope this helped;-))) for a quick answer!

Can give you the drs name/real good results.

PostHeaderIcon Birth Control Pills and Hair Loss?

Ever since I switched to ortho tri cyclen lo, 4 months ago, my hair has been falling out in large amounts and has thinned dramatically on top. I’m only 20 years old and I’m not sure what to do. I read that going off the pills while they’re causing hair loss will only make it worse. Has anyone else experienced this? Will switching pills make it worse?

i used to be on otc lo and i loved it. my hair did get a bit thinner for the first one to three months but then it slowed down later. i would recommend taking a vitamin supplement like centrum performance as well.

if this keeps up for a while, or get unbearably bad, see a doctor about it. good luck.
