How much Biotin for healthy hair?
I am 29 yrs old .I am facing hair loss problem So I went to walmart and bought some biotin to take to help with my hair loss but I am wondering how much dosage is recommended for a woman to take daily? Should I take any other supplements with biotin or only boitin is enough for healthy hair?
I take Biotin with my regular multi vitamins and I think that’s enough.. I take about 2000mg a day of biotin. You can’t OD on it but it will make you feel gross if you take too much. So try about that much then take more if you think you need to.
how much can a hair transplant cost?
Hair transplant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

can fat loss pills cause hair loss?
if yes, why, which ingredients may cause this?
Fat burners or diet pills are another big offender contributing to baldness in unsuspecting buyers. Anything that changes the metabolism very quickly causes a fluctuation in hormones which starves off healthy cells and leads to hair loss.
It is an unfortunate irony that many "nutritional" products people take to improve their appearance have the side effect of causing them to go bald. They then lose their looks in a new way, adding to their appearance problems.
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," goes the old saying. Take care of the hair you were born with. It isn’t something you want to take for granted.
If you are already suffering from major hair loss and are looking for the best remedy, beware of the pills and potions, gadgets and gimmicks. Many things touted on the market as hair replacement solutions are fraudulent, while others produce hair that’s not much better than peach fuzz. Some remedies require a lifetime of medication-taking or three-times-a-week therapy.
The best and only permanent solution to hair loss is hair transplantation, a science which has made great strides in recent years in its ability to produce a natural-looking hairline and good coverage. One or two sessions, for the majority of people, are usually all that’s necessary with a qualified specialist.
Which is the best doctor in Pune(Maharashtra,India), who is best for hairloss(baldness) treatment ?? PLZ HELP?
I am 22years male suffering from hairloss. Hairloss is genetic in me,b’coz my dad is also bald.
As for now I do not appear bald b’coz I still have some hair on my scalp.
I have been loosing hair from past 4 years, but now if I do not take a proper medical treatment , I will be become bald !!!!
Please advise me a good doctor in pune(Maharashtra,India) whose treatment would be effective and affordable !!!!!!
PLZ HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, the gene for hair comes from your mother’s father, not from your father. And there is really very little that can be done to cure genetic baldness permanently.
I started losing my hair when I was 16, and am now 51. Trust me in this; if you allow the measure of your hair to be the measure of your manliness then you will never be a man. Be confident in yourself and others will not care if you are bald or not.
Do all cancer medication cause hair loss or is it just chemotherapy drugs?
chemotherapy acts not only on cancer cells but on all rapidly dividing cells of body—bone marrow cells,cells lining thegut and mouth,hair follicle etc.
supression of cell division in hair follicles causes hair loss.
anticancer drugs like–hormones,hormone like drugs[taxanes,aromatase inhibitors] and biologic therapy[herceptin]
are free from this side effect.

this can help! maybe! and there will be no side effects if you will not overdose!
anyway as you know – hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few. but anyway you can always try and get real results.
year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:
1) Vitamin A – an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The ‘B’ vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also used herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for him!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=749165
good luck!
not only my and my husband`s own personal experience

I am experiencing hair loss, can it be an after effect of the hormonal pills that I am taking?
I am taking the pill for six months to restore my hormonal balance, and two months ago my hair started falling out in handfuls. Can it be the pill? Should I stop it?
Two months ago, too, I started crying uncontrollably, but then it
went away and I am rather calm now, but have this hair loss problem.
Absolutely, it can be the pill.
See a dermatologist.
propecia: anti-hairloss/ hairgain treatment?
i am in my mid 20s and the doctor has precribed propecia for me cuz ive been suffering from hairloss around the crown area as well as along my hairline. but i wear a cap in most times…simply because i like it. my question is whether me wearing a cap would affect my treatment…i know the question sounds a bit…immature but i just wanted to make sure ivent been doing something i aint supposed to….
thanks for your help
Wearing a cap did not affect any treatment and you can use propecia as prescribed by your doctor, although there are serious side effects associates with propecia usage.
Since Propecia is a prescription medication, it should not be used without prescription of a doctor. Like every prescription medication, Propecia can also cause some side effects. The side effects related with Propecia are mild like Pruritis, hypersensitivity and decreased libido. Generally side effects disappear after the use of the medication for a few days.

Does Cancer in general cause hair loss or is it the chemotherapy?
Some types of chemotherapy cause hair loss. There are many different types of chemotherapy. The older chemo drugs almost always cause hair loss because they target fast growing cells . . and hair cells are fast growing. The idea behind chemo was to stop the rapid growth of the cancer cell . . but unfortunately one of the side effects was to also kill healthy hair cells and some healthy cells inside the intestine (which is what causes the nausea). So it is the older chemo that causes hair loss. Cancer does not cause hair loss.
The newer chemotherapy drugs are based on targeting the cancer cell only . . and there is no associated hair loss with the newer drugs. In some cases there is a change in pigmentation with the result that hair turns white or gray (Sutent causes hair to turn white).

Unlike the older more toxic drugs, targeted therapy drugs are used to ‘control’ the cancer and often can be taken as a daily pill at home.
