experiencing hair loss due to birth control pills ?
Im 18 and started taking the Yasmin contraceptive pill 8 months ago. I noticed after 1 month of being on it that my hair had started to thin in a patch at the back right of my head on the side. The rest of my hair was otherwise still thick and healthy looking. Months have gone past and that area of thinning seems to have increased and after the 1st day of clean hair it becomes more noticeable and you can see the scalp. Still the rest of my hair appears to be unaffected.
Ive heard that birth control pills can cause hair loss and wonder if this may be the reason for mine.
Has anyone else experienced this while being on yasmin ?
and if you did experience hair loss did it eventually stop ?
Im so stressed out about this which probably isn’t helping, i just want my hair to go back to normal.
( i straighten my hair twice a week usually and almost always allow it to air dry first)
Yasmin is a combination of drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol. Loss of scalp hair is a reported side effect of this medication. The hair loss from most birth control pills is benign and self limited. Losing hair in this situation is thought to be through inducing hair follicles to go into the telogen phase. You should stop taking Yasmin and speak to your doctor regarding alternative birth control medications or methods.
How do some celebrities change from brunettes to blondes, yet don’t suffer from hairloss after the treatments?
Bleached blonde w/o losing hair
They do lose their hair! There are lots of celeb pics showing bald spots from over-processing and too many extensions.

Is there a certain kind of chemotherapy treatment that doesn’t cause hair loss? If so, what is it called?
Some of the chemo drugs or combinations of the chemo drugs will cause hair loss. Your Dr will tell you when or if hair loss is a side effect of a specific treatment.
Also, it depends on your own body and how you react. My Mom was told on 3 different occasions that the chemo drugs she was receiving would cause hair loss and even full baldness. She never did lose all her hair. It thinned, but didn’t all come out.
So again, some chemo drugs or their combinations cause hair loss, but not all.
will biotin help my hair grow faster?
i’m 15 so i don’t have a problem with hair loss or anything, i just want it to grow faster. i bought biotin shampoo hoping that it’ll help. would it?
Biotin in shampoos and conditioners is able to penetrate the hair shaft making it expand which actually thickens the hair cuticle. This gives the hair a fuller appearance. The products may promote hair growth when absorbed by the scalp. But the result will be slower if compared to other hair loss products.
hair transplant?
what is the possible costs of hair transplant for a 50% bald head of man?
Hair transplant,Tummy tuck surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Coumadin and hair loss will it grow back after pills are over? Help!?
I am taking coumadin for a blood clot I have one more month. I have lost so much hair will it grow back?
Everyone reacts differently to different medications. Hair loss is a side effect of Coumadin and it is hard to say if it will grow back or not. When I stared my med it thinned out my hair a lot and it started falling out and when I got off it it never was the same. But you should talk to your dermatologist, there are different thing that you can try to help it like different products like rogaine. As bad and as much as you probably don’t want to have to do that it might help. Or there are different pills you can try to take like spironolacton, which also helps with acne. I hope that helps and best of luck to you.
Can any body tell me the treatment for Hair loss?

Hi
Treating and stopping hair loss can be a difficult task to try to do if you are clueless about how you can effectively do so. If you are serious about stopping alopecia and baldness so you’ll be able to have more hair on your head, there are some things that you must.
Here are some tips that were helpful for me to stop the hair loss:
1. Biotin Supplement
By taking a good biotin supplement, many people I know, including me, have been able to extend the strength and growth of the hair. Biotin plays a significant role in your body’s natural hair producing process. For that reason, make sure you eat more foods that contain that vital vitamin. Foods like eggs, cereals and brown rice all contain biotin. I conjointly advocate taking a good biotin supplement.
2. Stress and Alopecia
Stress is notoriously known for inflicting more than dozens of health disorders and diseases including alopecia and baldness. The results that stress causes on your hair volume is very significant. While causing this disorder, excessive stress also appears to worsen it. For this reason, if you are serious about stopping alopecia, make sure you retain your stress level often in check.
Be sure you get sufficient rest and sleep every day. Don’t work long hours without plenty of rest. Unleash the strain out before it builds up.
3. Herbs and Natural Solutions for Baldness
Herbs and natural remedies are some of the best alternative treatments for hair loss. Using herbs and natural remedies like green tea and stinging nettle will help you win the fight against baldness and hair loss. Here is a list of herbs and natural remedies that I’ve got found to be very helpful:
* essential fatty acids like omega three
* Malt made hair mask
* green tea
* pygeum
* nettle roots
* horsetail extracts
* saw palmetto
4. Scalp Massage
Massage your scalp several times a day. By massaging your scalp frequently each day, you’ll be ready to extend the blood circulation within the scalp area. This increased blood flow will aid a lot in transferring the very important growth stimulating nutrients like biotin and amino acids to your hair follicles. This will directly facilitate increase your hair’s strength, growth and volume all at the same time.
5. Get Proven FDA Approved Treatment
Obtaining a good hair loss treatment is the most important thing but also the most difficult. There are too many products and corporations within the market nowadays and it is not easy to settle on the proper product for your needs.
Anyhow, There are some reliable companies with good reputation that offer free trials of their products. Before wasting hundreds of dollars on useless products I will highly recommend to take a look at these offers. Some of the most popular names are: Hairsol, Reatne, Smart organic, Provillus and more.
I personally use the hairsol treatment for about 3 months and until now I’m very satisfied with the results. You can learn more about Hairsol’s best free trial offer here:

Hope it helps
why hair loss occurs during chemotherapy ?
These answers are all correct, except for the autobot. Not all chemo make your hair fall out. I’m on temodar for brain cancer and it’s not made my hair fall out at all. It’s actually growing back nice and thick, where it fell out from the radiation to my head.
