PostHeaderIcon Who are the Top 10 "hair transplant" surgeons in India giving "affordable cost hair transplantation"?

USA has a list of Top 10 hair transplant surgeons. Now I want to know if India has one?

Dear Friends,
I accidentally stumbled across a very informative website www.ahrsindia.com
It is a site which is hidden on page 23 of the google search for “hair transplant”
You would say I have no other work if I can reach page 23!
But then that is how it is…. You can thank me for finding it for you guys.
Please follow the link below to get enlightened. Now you can rest assured that you have a quality surgeon to treat your hair loss. Just choose one near your locality.

The website has one big flaw. Though we would like to get the treatment from the most qualified doctor, the website lists plastic surgeons, skin specialists and plain MBBS doctors all together. But still it removes all the headache- we can now search our doctor easier.
It has all the addresses and websites too.
All the best!!

PostHeaderIcon How do I find a "Hair Transplant" surgeon in Delhi and Chandigarh? Google search is confusing.?

You google "hair transplant surgeon" or "cost of hair transplant" and your confusion starts. I am sure most of the search results are of those doctors who infrequently practice hair transplant surgery. Then how am I to know?

Yes, it is most confusing. You need to take a recommendation from a patient.
But the best way is to go to a website I accidentally came across (hidden on page 9 of google search). It belongs to the National Registry for Hair Transplantation.
www.ahrsindia.com
You can search for the best hair transplant surgeons on the page-
http://www.ahrsindia.com/Executive_Committee.html
Please note that the Founder Members are iconic figures of hair transplantation in India and the best.
The association website has a flaw. It does not list plastic surgeons, skin specialists, simple MBBS doctors separately to make it easier for us. You will have to do that research yourself.
However, it really takes away your headache.
For Delhi or Chandigarh also they have entries.
The very best to you.

PostHeaderIcon Anybody know an easy knitting pattern for a jumper for my rabbit and guinea pig?

I run Rabbit Rescue, a animals welfare charity taking in rabbit and guinea pigs (and occasionally birds and rats). most of the animals come to us with hairloss, baldness, chest infections etc and allthough they get veterinary treatment immediatly i am looking for a pattern for jumpers to keep them warm this winter. Already have heating vents, blankets, extra bedding etc but would love to keep their chests and bal spots warm especially for thw senior animals.

Rather than a knitting pattern, I would suggest using T-shirt material which is easily washable and can be cut to shape for each animal. I cut up some cotton underwear to make a T-shirt for a little guinea pig who came to me with a severe problem with mites; this stopped him from hurting himself as he was scratching while he was having treatment. You can cut a couple of holes for the legs, then wrap round the body and secure at the back by tying strips together to hold it in place.

PostHeaderIcon Question about chemotherapy and hair loss?

My 4 year old brother is currently undergoing treatment for neuroblastoma. He has no hair at the moment and treatment is still ongoing so it’ll be a wee while, but I just have a few questions about when it grows back. How long generally after chemo will it start to come back? I realise it’s probably different for everyone but on a general level? Will it come back very slowly and thin? I guess like a baby’s hair? And will it come back as his original colour? (He had a kinda strawberry blond hair colour if that makes any difference)

Sorry it’s so many questions and thanks for your help in advance

When my hair started to grow back from chemo, it began just like babys hair, thin on the top of my head and developed a layer of fuzz. Within a few months, it was getting thicker and generally back to the way it was before. It may grow back a different colour, but most people keep their original colour.

When it’s growing back, it feels like it’s taking forever and making no progress. However it does come back eventually.

Wish him all the best

PostHeaderIcon Natural African American hair loss at temples and top?

I am an African American woman and I decided to go natural about 6 months ago. I suffer from a skin condition that prevents me from using a wide variety of products on my hair due to allergic reactions. During the time when this condition started I suffered hair loss on my temples and in the top of my hair. I’ve tried a few products but nothing really seems to work. I can;t use anything heavy or harsh so if anyone has any tips then i would greatly appreciate them. I’m thinking about taking Biotin for hair and starting an exercise regime also if you have any tips on that.

I’m very sorry but biotin won’t actually help unless your deficient in biotin in the first place. If you are then it will work with growing hair.

My suggestion would be natural remedies.
1)supplements:
-Chlorella (stimulates growth and thickness; introduce this into your system slowly it detoxes)
-PABA (Used for graying hair)
-silica (keeps hair looking shiny and sleek)
-VIT B COMPLEX (B VITAMINS ARE IMPORTANT FOR GROWTH OF HAIR)
-Unsaturated fatty Acids (primrose oil, linseed oil)(Enhances hair texture, prevents dry, brittle hair)
-PANTOTHENIC ACID (B5) Helps maintain hair
-vitamin b6 enhances growth
-INOSITOL stimulates growth
-NIACIN (B3) helps hair absorb nutrients
-VITAMIN C increases scalp circulation
-VITAMIN E increases scalp circulation, hair growth and oxygen to cells
-ZINC promotes hair growth by enhancing immune function
-COPPER CHELATE works with zinc to aid in hair growth
-COENZYME Q10 enhances scalp circulation, increases tissue oxygenation
-KELP supplies minerals for hair growth
-GH (GROWTH HORMONE) stimulates growth
-Pregnenolone stimulates cell growth

2)AMINO ACIDS:

-L-CYSTEINE improves hair growth and texture
-L-METHIONINE helps prevent hair from falling out
-GLUTATHIONE stimulates skin, glands and soft tissue
-OMITHINE releases growth hormone

3) herbs for growth

-alfafa
-birch leaves
-burdock
-calendula (Marigold)
-chaparral
-comfrey
-dwarf nettle
-horsetail
-maiden hair
-nettle
-peppermint (Pure peppermint oil needs to be diluted with a carrier oil such as olive oil)
-rosemary
-wormwood if worms in scalp is a factor

4)food for growth
-asparagus,
-barley
-buckweat
-cabbage
-figs
-kelp
-millet
-oats
-onions
-rice
-romaine lettuce
-rye
-sesame seeds
-spinach
-strawberries
-tomatoes

The best time to take vitamins is during the day, after a meal.

Never take supplements on an empty stomach – they will quickly pass out in your urine. This is especially true for the B and C vitamins that dissolve in water.

Though each of the scientifically proven treatments for hair loss and hair thinning described in this article is a potentially promising hair re-growth therapy, none of the treatments can be called a permanent solution to hair loss or hair thinning. Each treatment for hair loss must be used diligently over a given period of time before initial growth results materialize, and even then once re-growth has occurred, each hair loss and thinning treatment must be continued indefinitely in order to maintain results. As of this writing, science has simply not provided us with a viable, permanent scientifically proven solution or treatment for hair loss or hair thinning problems.

PostHeaderIcon please tell me name of a good biotin supplement for hair loss?

Biotin doesn’t for the most part grow hair, or even grow hair at a faster growth rate. It can however improve the quality of hair and nails.

Biotin for the most part would only really help someone if they were deficient in biotin in the first place. So if you are deficient in biotin go for it.

PostHeaderIcon How can I stop hair loss IMMEDIATELY?

I am 17 years old and shedding like a dog. I eat and sleep regularly, have not had chemotherapy or anything like that, and have even started dying my hair with henna and avoid brushing it too much between washes. NOTHING is helping. I hope you understand what a catastrophe this is to me and won’t try to advertise stuff that doesn’t work because I seriously don’t have money to throw away and if I don’t figure something out right now I’m going to be practically bald by the time I’m 21. :( help me please!!!

Luckily, hair loss in younger men is also something that can be prevented, and to prevent hair loss, one needs to start taking medication to block Dihydrotestosterone right away. In order to prevent hair loss caused by DHT, you need to begin right away. The sooner you can stop the DHT, the more likely you will be able to keep your hair and the more likely you will be able to prevent hair loss. Some of the natural medications designed to prevent hair loss are safer, but they only deal with one issue. For example, while you may be able to block DHT from forming by using an herbal remedy like Saw Palmetto berries, if any DHT gets through, you still have no way of stopping it, because Saw Palmetto can only do so much on its own. its the very ingredients you have in the product Procerin ( http://www.procerin.com ). A supplements designed to completely prevent all aspects of hair loss without affecting the rest of your body.

PostHeaderIcon I’ve noticed my hairline receding. What could be causing this and what can I do to reverse my hair loss?

I’m a 19 year old male college freshman and I’m taking a lot of biotin daily. I shampoo my hair with Garnier Fructis. I started noticing this after high school graduation, but it didn’t amount to anything worth worrying about. After a few months into college it started to fall out much more rapidly, are there any certain lifestyles, supplements or hair care products could I look into?

Hi dude, at some point in our life, at least 10 to 25% of all men will suffer from some type of balding. Balding occurs over time, and even if you are suffering from less of a hair loss problem than someone else, you could have been balding for longer which is why your hair loss is as it is.Balding is strictly a psychological problem. How much balding effects you relates directly to how badly balding affects your self esteem and are self confidence.

To effectively treat balding and stop it from getting any worse, you need to make sure that you start using some type of treatment that is going to be effective right away – and you need to make sure that you find a treatment that you can trust to treat your balding without causing your body any side effects that may cause the exact same self confidence and self esteem issues that you would experience if you continue to allow your hair go bald.

One of the only ways to treat balding in this manner is to use a product known as Procerin. Procerin is an all natural balding cure that will not cause any side effects and will start working right away before your hair loss gets out of hand.
