I have extreme hair loss. After 12 months a dr FINALLY took a thyroid test. very low. Any tips?
I take biotin, vit A, niacin, saw palmetto, iron, evening primrose, salmon oil, GNC hair skin and nails formula, use nioxin shampoo and scalp treatment, coconut and olive oil scalp massage and started horemone replacement 1 1/2 weeks ago. Leotyroxine. still tons of hair loss
Most primary care physicians should refer their patient to see a Thyroid Specialist. If you haven’t, I think you should see one and get a second opinion. It is best that you do a research and educate yourself on thyroid health first before accepting any conventional medicine. We all know that conventional medicine change the body’s chemistry.
If the medicine you are taking for your thyroid is making your hair worse. You should stop taking it and switch to alternative herbal medicine such as Kelp, a sea vegetable that has a rich source of iodine and vitamin K. It also promotes healthy thyroid function. It helps me and I am not taking any conventional medicine. Keep taking Biotin, it keeps your hair on your head. Also Vitamin B6 is thought to prevent hair from falling out and help create melanin in the hair. Eating right for your blood type and super food such as raw vegan will help bring your thyroid back to normal. I’ve done it and it works.
Talk to a Thyroid Specialist or see a Alternative Medicine Doctor. Go here to get more information about thyroid health.
Can too much Biotin cause dandruff or hair loss?
I’ve been taking Biotin, Women’s One A Day, Folic Acid, Super B Complex, and Fish Oil vitamins for about 2-3 months now and I have not seen any changes on my hair. Recently I started getting dandruff and now my hair is falling out even more. When I massage my scalp it just makes it even more itchier. What do I do?
Where can I buy natural vitamins?
biotin can’t cause hair loss or dandruff. your problems may have another source. are you stressed? do you sleep enough, eat well?
biotin tablets for hair loss?
Hi,I am 25years old,i am suffering from hair loss,Some people suggest me for Biotin Tablets,Let me know that,It will be help-full to stop my hair loss and grew-up again to hair or not.kIndly suggest me.
I cannot say for sure whether or not that would be a correct solution for you, as we don’t know what exactly is causing your hair loss. Genetics, thyroid problems, stress, etc. could all be causing it and it’d be better to isolate the cause before spending money on any solutions that may or may not address your specific cause. I’d personally suggest scheduling a free consultation with a Bosley physician at one of our many regional offices (all listed on our website).
Our people are hair loss experts who can diagnose the specific cause of your case & recommend appropriate treatment options. Best of all, the consults are conducted free of charge so at the very least you receive the information you need to move forward in addressing your problem without having to spend a dime for it. Best of luck to you in your situation and be sure to find out why you are losing hair first before spending hard-earned money to fix it.
Natural African American hair loss at temples and top?
I am an African American woman and I decided to go natural about 6 months ago. I suffer from a skin condition that prevents me from using a wide variety of products on my hair due to allergic reactions. During the time when this condition started I suffered hair loss on my temples and in the top of my hair. I’ve tried a few products but nothing really seems to work. I can;t use anything heavy or harsh so if anyone has any tips then i would greatly appreciate them. I’m thinking about taking Biotin for hair and starting an exercise regime also if you have any tips on that.
I’m very sorry but biotin won’t actually help unless your deficient in biotin in the first place. If you are then it will work with growing hair.
My suggestion would be natural remedies.

-Unsaturated fatty Acids (primrose oil, linseed oil)(Enhances hair texture, prevents dry, brittle hair)

-COENZYME Q10 enhances scalp circulation, increases tissue oxygenation

2)AMINO ACIDS:
-L-CYSTEINE improves hair growth and texture
-L-METHIONINE helps prevent hair from falling out

The best time to take vitamins is during the day, after a meal.
Never take supplements on an empty stomach – they will quickly pass out in your urine. This is especially true for the B and C vitamins that dissolve in water.
Though each of the scientifically proven treatments for hair loss and hair thinning described in this article is a potentially promising hair re-growth therapy, none of the treatments can be called a permanent solution to hair loss or hair thinning. Each treatment for hair loss must be used diligently over a given period of time before initial growth results materialize, and even then once re-growth has occurred, each hair loss and thinning treatment must be continued indefinitely in order to maintain results. As of this writing, science has simply not provided us with a viable, permanent scientifically proven solution or treatment for hair loss or hair thinning problems.
please tell me name of a good biotin supplement for hair loss?
Biotin doesn’t for the most part grow hair, or even grow hair at a faster growth rate. It can however improve the quality of hair and nails.
Biotin for the most part would only really help someone if they were deficient in biotin in the first place. So if you are deficient in biotin go for it.
I’ve noticed my hairline receding. What could be causing this and what can I do to reverse my hair loss?
I’m a 19 year old male college freshman and I’m taking a lot of biotin daily. I shampoo my hair with Garnier Fructis. I started noticing this after high school graduation, but it didn’t amount to anything worth worrying about. After a few months into college it started to fall out much more rapidly, are there any certain lifestyles, supplements or hair care products could I look into?
Hi dude, at some point in our life, at least 10 to 25% of all men will suffer from some type of balding. Balding occurs over time, and even if you are suffering from less of a hair loss problem than someone else, you could have been balding for longer which is why your hair loss is as it is.Balding is strictly a psychological problem. How much balding effects you relates directly to how badly balding affects your self esteem and are self confidence.
To effectively treat balding and stop it from getting any worse, you need to make sure that you start using some type of treatment that is going to be effective right away – and you need to make sure that you find a treatment that you can trust to treat your balding without causing your body any side effects that may cause the exact same self confidence and self esteem issues that you would experience if you continue to allow your hair go bald.
One of the only ways to treat balding in this manner is to use a product known as Procerin. Procerin is an all natural balding cure that will not cause any side effects and will start working right away before your hair loss gets out of hand.

HOW AND WHY do hair follicles die and how can i stop/ prevent hair loss?
does biotin help prevent hair growth and stimulate hair follicles? i’m 22 and noticed that the top part of my hair is thinning. I had a baby almost two years ago and it hasn’t returned to the thickness pre pregnancy. I am aware that hair loss due to hormones after pregnancy is normal but i have also read that it is supposed to return to it’s normal growth by 6 months to a year. However nothing has really grown back. I haven’t really had much hair growth so i’m wondeing if biotin or Minoxidil would help. My mother is 50 and has very thin hair and balding at the front and top of her head.

Could hair loss be an effect of an allergy to a certain dye/shampoo?
For the first time I’ve been using Redken shampoo and hair color. Since that, my hair has been falling out, or shedding pretty significantly.
I saw another question where the asker said that she heard it could possibly be anemia.
This could be the case, but the only problem is that this didn’t start happening until after I began using the redken products.
Does anyone else know why this may be happening?
So far, my plan consists of taking iron, Biotin, and discontinuing the use of my redken shampoo. Does this sound like the right course of action?
i used redken shampoo to and it made my hair reallly brittle and i had some amount of hair loss but not significantly i stopped using it though and now my hair is great
