PostHeaderIcon Anyone considered suicide from chemotherapy hair loss?

Why, it usually grows back thicker, worry about surviving the cancer first. If you do not like the side effects there are alternatives. Check the site below.

Hair loss is a minor problem compared to dying. Vanity over hair loss shouldn’t cause anyone to consider suicide.

My mum lost all her hair during chemo and she wore little caps and hats while it didn’t grow. It’s grown back now and she has the best hair she’s ever had. She was very upset about it at the time and didn’t like going out of the house but we made sure she had some very pretty little hats and colourful head scarves and she felt much better about it. Occasionally she had bad patches where she said she’d rather be dead but that was because she felt unwell from the chemo treatments and had no energy.

You need friends and family who love you around you to make the treatment easier on you.

Suicide because of hair loss is not a good thought to have – perhaps you should seek some additional counselling whilst you’re going through this difficult time – it does get better :o ) Good luck and best wishes.

you need to worry about surviving first. there are many alternatives to hair loss. #1 consider this your head won’t be so hot this summer. Contact your oncologist and ask him/her about wigs, and hats and what not. there are plenty of cool things to wear on your head these days.

Only those of us who have been there really know how it feels. When you’re bald and underweight and tired and sick and wondering if you’re even going to have a future, it’s hard not to become depressed. I think you should talk to your doctor and tell him or her how you’re feeling. Don’t give up! I had Ewing’s sarcoma, which kills 95 % of the people who get it. I’ve been in remission for 32 years.

    Hi
I honestly do not think that Chemo and hair loss qualify for any suicide attempts. If it were so the rate of survival will increase and make it less work for the doctors.
