PostHeaderIcon Please help. I’m looking to experiment with propecia but are put off by the side effects.?

I’ve read countless reviews and alot of negative ones at that. I know bad news is more publicised than good but I can’t help but wonder what is genuine and what is not.

I have investigated the product on a website which is a reliable source as it used by doctors (www.emc.medicines.org.uk) and it sounds very positive and the side effects remain minimal. I know side effects have to be declared, no matter how small they are, just so companies don’t get sued.

I had my mind set to get the tablets but after seeing my doctor it made me reconsider. I know general practitioners only have a ‘general’ knowledge of most drugs but he seemed to know quite a bit. He advised me that I’ve got to weigh out the pros and cons and benefits and disadvantages. He said the most common side effects is lower sex drive, erectile dysfunction and reduced semen. Although it’s likely the side effects would cease after discontinuing the drug, he advised that it’s possibly they wouldnt and this could make you feel worse off than going bald. I think he was trying to say not getting an erection is more likely to make you feel less of a man that losing your hair.

He also advised that if my hair did regrow and I did stop taking the drug for whatever reason this would result in further hair loss which could prove to be more catastrophic than going bald gradually.

I’m at a crossroads and uncertain where to go. I would like to hear valid opinions and off people who have actually taken the drug. This is too important to me to hear any false information so please be honest

I look forward to hearing from you

hair regrowth with propecia is temporary and yes ofcourse they will fall rapidly later on. as far as side effects are concerned they are minimal and mostly psychological. better you should go for hair transplant, its long lasting very safe and successful surgery.
