To receive an indication by the FDA (approved use), the drug manufacturers have to submit an ANDA (abbreviate new drug application), as well as fund multimillion dollar studies. If the manufacturer sees no additional monetary value in seeking additional indications for their drug products then they have no cause to expend millions of dollars.
