I’ve been on Alesse for almost two months now, and recently I started noticing a lot more hair loss, especially in the mornings, the shower, and after I brush it. I’m not really all that stressed, and I’ve always taken really good care of my hair, so I’m thinking it’s the pill but I just now started noticing the hair loss… I heard you’re supposed to stay on a new pill for at least 3 months to let your body adjust to it but it’s just so frustrating! I had 4 out of my 6 Chemo treatments. But I haven’t had any more Chemo treatments for 2 months because my blood tests were coming back with low white blood cell counts and with low platelette counts so my doctor put off my last two treatments that I’m supposed to have. Now my blood levels are good so I had a Chemo treatment on last Friday. The thing is that my hair has grown back like a half inch already since my last Chemo 2 months ago. So will all of the new hair that I finaly grew back in fall out again now that I’m back on Chemo for two more treatments?

Not all chemos cause hair loss, but if you’re receiving the same chemo as before then I’m afraid you can expect to lose it again. Take heart though, it’s not permanent and yours grows back quickly so just grin and bear it. Some fantastic wigs and scarves available if you want to cover up.

IT will take several month to growth and the redness of the surgery will last for 2-3 weeks .

I run Rabbit Rescue, a animals welfare charity taking in rabbit and guinea pigs (and occasionally birds and rats). most of the animals come to us with hairloss, baldness, chest infections etc and allthough they get veterinary treatment immediatly i am looking for a pattern for jumpers to keep them warm this winter. Already have heating vents, blankets, extra bedding etc but would love to keep their chests and bal spots warm especially for thw senior animals.

Rather than a knitting pattern, I would suggest using T-shirt material which is easily washable and can be cut to shape for each animal. I cut up some cotton underwear to make a T-shirt for a little guinea pig who came to me with a severe problem with mites; this stopped him from hurting himself as he was scratching while he was having treatment. You can cut a couple of holes for the legs, then wrap round the body and secure at the back by tying strips together to hold it in place.
